The Employee Relations area works with faculty, staff, supervisors and administrators in maintaining a positive work environment, and positive interactions between employees and employer. Employee Relations participates in developing policies and procedures aimed at assuring a productive, respectful and supportive work environment for all.  This involves sponsoring workshops on positive supervisory behaviors and practices, improving interpersonal communications, as well as personal and professional development. Primary functions of the office are working with employees and supervisors on resolving differences and conflicts at work, maintaining productivity, enhancing employee performance, and promoting work-life balance.  Activities of the office include coaching employees and supervisors, advising administrators on policies and problem-solving, enhancing communication with employees, job satisfaction assessment activities, customized department and office intervention and training.
