Responsibilities
Contingent on final funding authorization, the Department of Sociology at Northern Illinois University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in August 2010. We seek candidates with primary expertise and teaching interests in criminology. Interests in other areas of sociology are also desirable and will be considered with respect to the candidates fit with departmental strengths and needs.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The department and the university are committed to the principle of diversity and encourage applications from candidates who can contribute to this objective.
