Assistant Clinical Coordinator Special Education

Required Skills
Earned Masters degree (in an area offered by the College of Education at NIU); Bachelor or Masters degree in special education (with LBS I certification  other degree in an area from the College of Education at NIU); experience in the supervision of teacher education clinical experiences or experience as a cooperating teacher; knowledge of elementary and secondary school districts and/or special education cooperatives, and other educational facilities in the service region; school teaching experience in special education

Preferred Skills
Familiarity with the NIU program in special education; school-university partnership experience; experience leading professional development for in-service teachers

Responsibilities
Facilitate the communication between the faculty of TLRN and the early clinical students in their clinical assignments; visit clinical sites; evaluate students based on performance; maintain grades for clinical students.
