To be considered for this position, applicants must hold a Ph.D. in economics, and we have a strong preference for a candidate with at least two publications in quality refereed journals.
We are seeking outstanding economists with a proven ability to carry out high quality research and a record of excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in research leading to publications in top quality economics journals, to teach undergraduate and graduate economics courses, to supervise doctoral students, and to actively seek funds to support his or her research.
All appointments are subject to budgetary authorization.

Responsibilities
The Department of Economics is inviting applications for an anticipated tenure-track position in microeconomic theory to start in August 2010. We anticipate making this appointment at the advanced Assistant Professor level.
The primary responsibility of the individual hired will be in the field of microeconomic theory, and we would be particularly interested in candidates who also have an interest in international economics.
