Description: This position will be responsible for working with students in the DeKalb School District, specifically with the grades K-5. The work will mostly be in basic mathematics but a focus other than mathematics could be provided by the teacher.

2. Title: AMERICA READS TUTOR - Summer Program
Department: Literacy Education
Description: Tutors will work with elementary school readers and writers at the NIU Literacy Clinic on Bethany Road. Responsibilities include preparing appropriate lesson plans for the tutoring sessions and maintaining detailed progress records/portfolios for each student. Mandatory training sessions will be held before the summer session begins.

Description: Annual Fund callers contact alumni and friends of Northern Illinois University through the Huskie Telefund in an effort to update alumni records, provide information on current events at NIU, create strong connections between alumni and friends of NIU and the University, and to solicit funds for Northern Illinois University.

Description: This position requires employees to set-up and take down staging/lighting/sound equipment for events that are put on through NIU. Work is available on an as needed basis which means hours are not consistent and are only available when events are being put on. Events are typically held on campus and times vary depending on when things need to be set-up or taken down and can be on any day of the week. Because of the diversity of the times of events, it is easy to get work and schedule hours around class schedules. No experience necessary.

Description: Responsibilities include opening of the builiding, assist with the daily operations, processing registrations and transactions, answering phones, monitor and maintain supplies, check in weight room members, and balance shift receipts.

10. Title: Guest Services Officer
Department: Holmes Student Center Guest Services Dept.
Description: The Guest Services Department at the Holmes Student Center is primarily responsible for building safety and guest safety after normal business hours. The Guest Services Officer will be responsible for one section of the building during their shift. This person will ensure contracted rooms are opened & closed on time, and that contract holders are satisfied with their situations. This person is also responsible for reporting any problems with or in the Student Center so that the shift supervisor can take appropriate action. At this time we are seeking people wiling to work daytime shifts as well as typical evening shifts. Currently we are only able to offer a guarantee of 12 hours a month. However as many as 120 hours a month are possible after advancement.
