Intuitive Eating: What Is It and How Do I Do It?

  • Wednesday, October 4th, HSC Glidden Room: 12-1:00 p.m.

The 10 principles of intuitive eating will be discussed and how we can practice eating intuitively in our day to day lives. Additionally, we will distinguish different types of hunger (i.e. physical vs. emotional) and practice one or two intuitive eating exercises. Overall, the focus of the presentation will be on eliminating the diet mentality and learning how to listen to your body.  Presented by Ashley Kyle Dietetic Intern, University Recreation & Wellness

Zumba Preview

Learn all about Zumba from a certified instructor and then participate in a short class that includes an exciting fusion of Latin dance and fitness. Participation is not required. Presented by Chavonis Black, University Recreation & Wellness Staff

Deciding to Retire from NIU

Communication and Setting Boundaries

Have you ever had a moment when you walked away from a situation and thought “I wish I would have said that” or “I am not going to let that happen again”.  This presentation will engage participants in a discussion about communication tips to help you assertively deliver your message and set boundaries for yourself and others. Money Matters

“Core & More”
