With August approaching and the FY08 state budget process still unresolved, HRS has received several inquiries concerning the status of payroll processing. As indicated in President Peters' Summer Budget Message forwarded to the campus on July 2, contingency plans are in place to manage normal operations through the summer and into the fall semester. With respect to payroll processing, these plans include provisions to manage a delay in receiving appropriated funding for a limited amount of time including the month of August. Therefore, payroll distributions (paychecks and direct deposits) will be completed on schedule. However, FY08 increment planning and processing procedures have been delayed pending completion of the state budget process.
