On Monday, July 14, 2008, NIU will implement an updated online directory. The updated directory will continue to include all active employees and will also provide advanced updating and search capabilities. Employees will now have the online ability to select the option for displaying their personal address and phone numbers.
When the new directory is implemented, all personal employee information (address and phone numbers) will be defaulted to “hidden.” Employees who would like their personal information displayed can do so by following these steps:
1. Click on the following link: http://www.niu.edu/directory.shtml
2. Click “Login” on the top right of the red toolbar
3. Enter your Novell ID and password
4. Click on “Edit Your Information” and then on “Display”
Employees who opt to leave their information hidden in the online directory, will not have their personal address or phone information printed in the Communiversity telephone book. Employees who would like their information printed in the 2008-09 Telephone Directory must log into the system using the directions above no later than September 5, 2008.
