Those of you who work primarily at our off-campus locations are an important part of the NIU community. We depend on you to help us provide our off-campus students with a superior quality of instruction and services that characterizes all of our campus locations, along with a comparable level of attention and interest in their success - both academically and personally.
The University will be offering on-campus recovery sessions for faculty and staff to assist in the healing process which began after last February’s campus tragedy. Many of you may teach on campus and may be able to attend one of the sessions scheduled for the main campus in DeKalb. However, we will be conducting additional sessions at the Outreach Centers to afford an opportunity to attend for those of you who might not be able to participate in a session in DeKalb.
These sessions will be held the week of September 8 at the following dates and times:
Tuesday, September 9, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - NIU Rockford
Wednesday, September 10, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – NIU Naperville
Thursday, September 11, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – NIU Hoffman Estates
If you would like to attend a session at one of the Outreach Centers, please contact Linda Traff at
815.753.8735 or email ltraff@niu.edu by Tuesday, September 2 to register for a particular session.
