Human Resource Services received the following message from Central Management Services regarding delays in processing Quality Care Health Plan claims.
If you are a member of the State Employees' Plan, please be advised the State of Illinois plan is a self-insured plan. Claims are paid by the State as funds become available. Payments continue to be delayed due to a lack of sufficient and/or timely revenues. CIGNA continues to process claims for the Quality Care Health Plan upon receipt and payment on these claims is being made as quickly as possible as funds become available. The Group Insurance Division cannot expedite a payment but can provide assistance in dealing with providers or collections agencies. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this difficult and unprecedented time.
