As an NIU employee, you'll be connected to a range of technology resources, including productivity and collaboration tools, and phone, voicemail and email services. You’ll have access to Office 365, which provides Office applications such as Word and Excel. Learn how to get Office 365 on all your devices.

Another widely used resource is MyNIU, where faculty manage information on their classes and students. You may use MyNIU if your job duties fall in the areas of finance or human resources. You can also view your paycheck in MyNIU. Learn how to view your paycheck online.

Email

Your NIU email account is part of Office 365. Here’s how to get started:

1. Find your account ID by searching the NIU directory.
2. Change your password. To learn how, visit NIU Account IDs and Passwords.
3. Log in to your email through Office 365.
4. Add the NIU email signature to your messages.
